Terms and Conditions

Updated 2 October 2026. These policies describe the refreshed BuyAndSellHair service. Earlier purchases retain their original commitments.

1. The marketplace and your account

BuyAndSellHair is operated by Vortex Media Ltd. Contact us at info@buyandsellhair.com.

BuyAndSellHair connects people selling human hair with potential buyers. We do not buy your hair, set its final sale price or act as the seller of an advertised hair bundle. Buyer and seller agree their own transaction, including measurements, cutting, payment, delivery and any return arrangements.

One account can be used to buy and sell. Keep your account details accurate and your sign-in secure. Do not use another person’s account, impersonate someone or bypass access restrictions. Buyer membership does not verify a person’s identity or guarantee their conduct.

A parent or legal guardian may list their child’s hair. The parent or guardian must manage the account, advert, messages, payment and delivery, have authority to arrange the sale and respect the child’s wishes. Do not ask a child to deal directly with buyers. Keep the child’s name, face, school, contact details and other identifying information out of the advert and photographs.

2. Adverts and photographs

Describe the hair honestly, including its usable length, condition, treatment history and whether it is already cut. Upload only photographs and text you have the right to use. Do not copy another seller’s advert, make misleading claims or publish someone else’s private information. Keep availability current and mark your advert sold when it is no longer available.

You retain ownership of your content. By submitting it, you allow us to store, format and display it as needed to operate your advert and the marketplace, subject to its visibility settings. This does not transfer ownership of your photographs to us.

3. Site fees and membership

The checkout shows the product and total before you pay. The terms recorded with your purchase govern that purchase; a later price change does not rewrite it. Site fees pay for marketplace features, not the hair itself. Payment of a fee does not guarantee enquiries, a sale or a particular sale price.

A standard advert period is 30 days. Standard relisting is free until sold: confirm continued availability to relist. Optional featured placement and bumps are separate purchases. Existing paid periods are preserved when accounts move to the rebuilt site.

4. Payment, cancellation and problems

Available site-fee payment methods are shown at checkout and processed through Stripe or PayPal. Those providers apply their own terms. Their involvement in a site-fee purchase does not mean that a separate hair sale is covered by the same payment or protection arrangements.

Agree the hair transaction directly with the other person. Check payment in your own payment-provider account before cutting or sending hair; do not rely on an email or screenshot alone. The buyer checklist and selling guide explain practical precautions.

Once your advert is published, the advertising fee is non-refundable for a change of mind, a lack of enquiries or a failure to sell. We review duplicate charges and other payment errors and correct them where appropriate. Contact info@buyandsellhair.com with your account and order reference if there is a problem. Nothing in this policy limits any cancellation, refund or other rights you have under applicable law, including where a service is not supplied as required.

5. Messages and community conduct

Use your site inbox to discuss adverts without publishing your email address. Do not send scams, harassment, sexual requests, threats, unlawful content or unrelated marketing. You can block another participant or report a conversation.

Messages are visible to their participants and may be reviewed by authorized staff for support, safety and moderation. Staff review and actions are recorded. The inbox is not end-to-end encrypted; see the Privacy Policy for how information is handled.

6. Moderation and access

We may restrict an advert, conversation or account when investigating misuse, protecting users or responding to a legal requirement. Please provide relevant details when reporting a problem. Support can review a moderation decision; moderation does not determine ownership of money in a separate buyer–seller transaction.

The site, price guide and editorial advice cannot guarantee an advert’s accuracy, a buyer’s reliability or a transaction’s outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Changes and contact
