Description

Very strong, extremely thick virgin hair, approximately 4.5-5″ in circumference at the top of the ponytail, and 4-4.5″ near the bottom of the tail. I have never used any styling or heat products on it. I always air-dry and brush it carefully after it’s dried (starting gently with tips). I plan to cut about 12-13″ inches off, but have listed this as 11-12″ as some segments may be a bit shorter. I’ve had long hair for the past few years; just want a change and was advised by salon that donating $ is more effective than donating hair!

Athletic non-smoker. Wash 1-2 times per week; have been using “Pantine pro-V Ultimate 10″ shampoo and conditioner. I have it trimmed every 4-6 months. I take pre-natal vitamins daily. The hair’s color variations seen in images are just how my hair is (natural variations + sun).

I love the way my hair looks and feels in sunlight; it feels so soft and warm and each strand takes on a different hue – bits of strawberry blonde and really light blonde strands come out. As you can see in the photos, it is mostly nail-straight but I have a cowlick so that one swath of it in the underneath/middle comes out with a bit of wave. I took a few photos with sun and without to give a better idea of color/texture.

I plan to cut it myself (in a few ponytails to make sure the length is even front and back) but will get it done at a professional salon upon request.

A few silly notes on hair thickness: each of my hairs is incredibly thick, and I have a lot of them. This is backed up by physics :) — we did a diffraction experiment to measure the width of our college class’s hairs; mine measured about 130 microns (typical human range is around 20-180 microns).
